Section 12J

Section 12J is an investment tax incentive designed to encourage investment into a range of private companies which meet defined criteria. The incentive gives taxpayers the ability to write off 100% of their investment against their taxable income.

Hasanaat Capital MD, Suhail Mohamed, explains Section 12J Investments

Venture Capital Opportunity

Under Section 12J of the Income Tax Act, Hasanaat Capital has developed an attractive structure for individuals, trusts, or companies looking to make new investments. The structure makes use of incentives allowing a tax deduction of 28% for companies and up to 45% for individuals and trusts on their investments.

The opportunity is available to investors wanting to invest in one of our pooled funds as well as private consortiums investing into businesses. By structuring the investment of a private consortium via Hasanaat Capital, the risk capital of investors is significantly reduced, this enhancing the potential investment return.

Our core competence is the structuring, setup, management and maintenance of Venture Capital investments. This includes the administration and compliance management of both the fund as well as underlying investments.

Hasanaat Capital, a registered Section 12J Venture Capital Company (FSP 49471, VCC-0131) is able to offer investors a number of lucrative investment opportunities whilst taking advantage of the tax incentives offered by Section 12J allowances.
